The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still in full swing, and it opens to the public tomorrow. Before Early Access ends we are spilling the beans on what we felt was worth it, what was returned, and what we are still lusting after.

Worth It:

Lush blouse – A perfect day-to-night top. The ruffle detailing and subtle bell sleeves work beautifully both in the office, as well as dressed up after work.

  • 5 color options, $31.90 on sale
  • Fit tips: If you are bustier, size up. This blouse also runs short, so if that’s a concern, we recommend sizing up. See here for more styled photos.

Halogen slides – These slides are a STEAL at $60 on sale, and surprisingly comfortable. Often a budget shoe feels thin and cheap, but this pair truly is luxe for less.

  • Leopard, plus solid leather color options, $59.90 on sale
  • Fit tips: Size up half a size. These run short, so the extra half-size gives more length.

Zella live-in leggings – Time and time again we re-purchase these – not because they fall apart, but because they are that good and a fraction of the cost of other legging brands.

  • Two color options, $35.90 on sale
  • Fit tips: When in doubt, go for the smaller size, as these can run slightly long {perfect for tall girls!}.

Halogen pants – A crop length that combines the best parts of leggings and dress pants?! Sold. The material is thick, but stretches comfortably, and we have a feeling that these will become our new go-tos.

  • Four color options, $49.90 on sale
  • Fit tips: A great workwear option for all body types – petite, curvy, tall, it works for everyone.

Hanky Panky – The most comfortable underwear that you will ever wear. We have been buying these for years and are so brand loyal, this choice is a no-brainer. Plus, this is pretty much the only time the full line goes on sale {especially in basic colors!} so it’s a good excuse to stock up.

  • Eight color options, $15.90 on sale
  • Fit tips: If you struggle with the low-rise or original rise, these are the perfect Goldilocks rise – not too high, not too low, just right 😉

What was a miss:

  • A midi skirt is a wardrobe staple, in our opinion. We had high hopes for this shimmery metallic option, but while the color was pretty, the fabric does not lay well against the body and the overall effect was unflattering. Plus, the waist band is elastic and likely will stretch over time.
  • Another piece that just missed the mark was this jumpsuit. The cut is form fitting, but unforgiving {read: no stretch} and felt uncomfortable from the get-go.
  • We so wanted these to work, but alas the hunt for the perfect leather leggings continues. This pair has almost no give, so it was difficult to put them on/take them off, and what girl has time for that on a busy morning?! Instead, we are currently eyeing this pair – stay tuned for a review.

Still on our wish list? This suede jacket, this watch, this lounge cardigan, and this cuff bracelet, and we’re hoping these boots {a splurge but an amazing deal} and these sneakers are restocked! A few things are currently listed as sold out, but Nordstrom customer service is unparalleled – they will always try to help you find sold out pieces, and the company often restocks between the Early Access and Public Sale.

What are you hoping to order from the sale? Happy shopping!
