It’s no secret that here at NPJ we love to read. Trips to the library are regular occurrences for us, and rarely do we leave without armloads full of new books to read. Here’s are a few titles on our reading list for the new season:

  • The House at the Edge of Night by Catherine Banner
    • A saga following four generations of a family living on an island in the Mediterranean.
  • The Dollhouse by Fiona Davis
    • New York in the 1950’s boasts a hotel for women filled with aspiring models, editors and secretaries. Fast forward to present-day when a journalist uncovers the hotel’s dark secrets.
  • The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
    • A mystery spanning between Australia and England about a woman’s search for her identity.
  • The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan
    • A librarian, gifted at pairing readers with the perfect book, loses her job and searches for her new happily-ever-after.
  • The Muse by Jessie Burton
    • The story of two women from different eras and the one painting that draws them together.
  •  Secrets of a Charmed Life by Susan Meissner
    • A present-day Oxford scholar interviews a WWII survivor and learns of the secrets that she has been carrying and how they altered her life path.
